Upon request, The Bridge Cafè will allow AU departments, student organizations, and individual students to hold events in the space during the academic school year (Fall and Spring semesters) as long as they agree to and follow our guidelines.

Event Guidelines
● The target audience for the proposed event must be current AU students, faculty and/or alumni - not external guests.
● Events will not have an admission fee for attendees.
● Events will be welcome to the entire student body/public and The Bridge Cafè will remain open for business during the event.* if the duration of the event takes place during normal operating hours
● Furniture in the The Bridge should remain generally in place, and any furniture that is moved must be returned to its original position after the event.
● Outside food/catering is allowed during events, however any trash left over from the food must be collected by the host organization after the event.

The Bridge Cafe asks that any event that wants to supply coffee/drinks or bagels/pastries to attendees does so through The Bridge catering
● The Bridge Cafe has a ‘staging area’ but no elevated stage or podium.
● The Bridge has a microphone and surround-sound speakers available to organizations hosting events in the space. All other equipment and support must be supplied by the host group.
○ Event organizers are also encouraged to request support from the AV Team if you plan to use our technical equipment.

*** Approvals for events will be evaluated for scale and scope - some events may be too big or more logistically challenging for The Bridge to consider.
